1st step: SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT

When you set up your account you are creating your personal folder.  You can use this account from year to year and use various citation styles.

Register for your account while you are on campus - it will recognize Country Day's  IP.  Once you've set up your personal credentials you can then  work from any location.

→    On the login screen, click Create a Personal ID

→    Fill in the fields on the New User Registration screen

→     Under Choose a Personal ID, type in a personal ID and a password that you will remember.  You will need to enter this login information to access your personal folder every time you open NoodleTools.  The password is not case-sensitive and must be 4 or more characters long.

→     To save time, click the Check availability button to see whether or not the personal ID you have selected is available. If you have selected a personal ID that is already in use, you can change it now before clicking the Register button.

→     Finally, under Easy Login Retrieval, enter the last four digits of your phone number and your initials. This is used to identify you if you lose your password or if we need it to locate your account. If you are a college student, you may also be prompted to enter your e-mail address here.

    →     Click the Register button.

You now have your own Noodle Tools account that you can access from any location.

2nd step: CREATE A NEW PROJECT

Chicago/Turabian is the designated citation style for the Country Day history department.  Choose MLA if you are doing an English paper.

Choose ADVANCED level.   (Very important, this will give you all the options you need!!!).

Type in your project name into the Description field.

Be sure to click the Create Project button.

        3rd step: SHARE YOUR PROJECT

→    After you've logged in, click the name of your project.  This brings up the Dashboard screen.

Take a moment to complete your project information.  It doesn't have to be polished - but it does have to have enough information for Mrs. Owens to evaluate your sources and make constructive suggestions.

→    Now click Share project with a teacher's drop box.

The Share Project window comes up.
→    Start typing your teacher's name in the Assignment Drop Box and an list of choices appear.
        →    Click the appropriate section.

→    Click the Share Project tab to save.

→    To begin, click the arrow for dropdown menu "Select a citation type" and select the appropriate resource type>
Then click the Create CItation tab.  You are on your way.
